And Eddie Campbell.

Alan's artist collaborators tend to rightfully get quite annoyed when people insist on talking about "Alan Moore's Watchmen", "Alan Moore's V For Vendetta" etc.

It takes two or more people to make a comic, usually.

Oddboy

No offence to Eddie meant! it's just I don't recognise the name, whereas I know a story with "Alan Moore" stamped on it is a sign of good quality.

Has Campbell done anything I'd recognise in 2K?  I've read very little comic stuff outside of the Megs & the Progs...
Better set your phaser to stun.

No. nothing at all in 2000AD, or mainstream comics in general, at least as far as I'm aware.

Eddie's known best for his own writer-artist stuff like Bacchus and some autobiogrphical work.

Well, to be honest, I wouldn't buy a graphic novel just because of David Lloyd or Eddie campbell, even though I like the artist!

In fact I only ever bought a graphic novel once because of an artist and that was Camelot 3000 by Brian Bolland, and I regretted that!

Thats because great art doesn't make a great story (though if you get Carlos in, it can cover up some inadequecies) yet bad art can hamper a good tale.  Of course, Alan Moore treats his work as a collaborration as it should rightly be.

Well if you don't like 'Camelot 3000' I'll buy it from you. I sort of fancy it but aren't too sure. Second hand appeals...

Glad you posted that PVS, as well as drooling after Alan Moore (if you know what i mean ) I also love Brian Bolland - hence Killing Joke is right up my alley!

I've been looking for other BB graphic novels and I've been pondering Camelot 3000 - reckon I'll give it a wide berth now.
