i hope matt doesn't read this, cos i'm drawing it in to the double page spread on pp2+3 of the dredd story i'm working on....

James

Well my suggestion was going to be old logo with the shield updated to somrthing more modern...kinda like the way Jock does it!

Do it Jock.

Dog Deever

Just a little rough and tumble, Judge man.

Buddy

Wait a minute....

Lets go over that again..

I think the real story here is Jock's back on Dredd.

HURRAH!!

Any idea when it'll  appear? (after Origins obviously...)

Rob Spalding

So, we'll see a new Jock Dredd sometime next year then?

A massive yes from me too.

From a design point of view, it's an example of an almost *perfect* logotype; instantly recognisable (even when used with different type, like the original Judge Cal Titan books), *highly* legible and easily adaptable to differing page layouts.

Tbh, I really don't know why it was dropped in the first place.

Unless it's going to be in the Meg.

Steve Green

What everyone else has said, really.

I agree the badge could be a bit chunkier/more angular but the typeface is perfect.

Tbh, I like the badge the way it is. The curves balance out the chunkiness of the type, without either being lost or dominating the logo (IMO, anyway).
