Cover art - without the words ?

Would it be possible for Rebellion to post the cover art to each weeks/months Prog or Meg without the by-lines (or whatever the words are called?).

That way the art (a) could be appreciated for its own sake in all its glory & (b) would be very helpful to us amateur computer wallpaper-makers.

Remember - dry hair is for squids

...I'll second that. It's been a pleasure browsing the various 2K artist blogs and turning up their cover art, uncropped & minus logos, banners, straplines etc., but it would be nice if Rebellion could provide these week in, week out.

As the final cover pics are already sent to Wake for uploading to the site, and the cover illustrations are doubtless stored â??cleanâ? in some digital format, would it be possible to simply send on the "clean" cover with the final cover pic for Wake's usual update?

It's obviously a bit more work for everyone involved, but it would be a nice addition to the site...

Is that Steve Merchant's goggle eyed brood in the background then?

I think it's a great idea as well.

Computer Art magazine has a special subscribers cover with the magazine details on a sticker so you can enjoy the artwork.

For example, something like this would be great - final cover image alongside the "clean" art:

SFX had covers free of blurb for subscribers too.

I wonder how many subscribers of 2k would buy a second copy WITH cover blurbs if Rebellion did that?

None probably (still have staple marks in etc) but it'd be nice to see it on the site.
Or of course have it as an option to buy as a poster from the Future Shop!
