To tell the truth, you can all get screwed.

Yes from me, perfect way to introduce a new character. though it could do with a few less pinks and purples it makes my eyes bleed.

I started off liking him, he's certainly a character. It's just that on the last strip, I haven't had a clue whats going on. Too much happening, with dialogue that borders on complete bollocks at times.

I, Cosh

Surely the third option should read: "I don't know, I've never Kippled."

Anyway, I think he's ace.
We never really die.

Script - No
Art - No

The only reason I read it is cos I paid for it.
Hmm, just pretend I wrote something witty eh?

Adrian Bamforth

Unfortunately, I can't tell what is going on.

(I know, I know, we're having a poll etc...)

I want to like it, the whole bonkers ideas are great, but I can't get past the art. I end up reading the dialogue and captions without taking any of the panels in- so I don't understand it. Pitty really, Boo's previous B&W outings were pretty good- but his colouring since Asylum 2(?) really twists me up!
Just a little rough and tumble, Judge man.

Adrian Bamforth

Nobody's said he's exceedingly good yet...

Kipling seems to alternate between stories I love (the crocodile god, the atheist zealot army) and stories I hate (the rest of them).
STRIKE !!!

The longer it goes on, the less I understand what's happening. I want to like it, but can't really find much of a reason these days. The premise is ace - and after that first teaser I thought here was a potential new favourite thrill - but the stories we've had since are just so-so. And Boo's art, which was astounding on Asylum 2, now often seems to be a sketchy mess trying to hide beneath garish colours.

The whole thing looks and reads like a mess, and not in a good way.

Have to agree. I'm finding it very hard to work out what the hell is going on in this story, and as a result, even harder to care. I have no clear idea in my head what either of Kipling's two supporting characters even look like.

Ho hum ...

Not a fan of this one - all the excesses that bug me in Si's stuff are here (chewy dialogue and 'magicy' backstory).  It feels like a story trying to shake me off its back - like a rodeo ride that I really can't be bothered to try and keep up with - dialogue, art, characters and setting all conspire to push me away rather than draw me in.

Chiaroscuro's not half so bad - dialogue sometimes falls into "Spurrierisms", though lots of writers have their 'signature' way of doing things. Si's 'grounded' stuff seems to work better for me.

Can't we have an option;

Like the artwork but think the stories a bit wank
