"I find it strange that I have no clear mental image of either of the two supporting characters (or remember their names, it would seem)."

That happens when you forget to take your brain medicine...

Ones called Klux - the other one is green(?)

Does that help?

Nothing so interesting ... I reckon it's just old age.

Cheers!

Doggy Carrots

i don't like the cakes anyway so it dosn't really matter.

Its not about the drugs so much as the origins of our zombie hitman.

The art is constructed with the dialogue and lettering droids in mind. So the story is a complete comic read.

Leading to this looking a bit like a DC or marvel type of situation where there is an indestructable hero with one weakness; his head can be separated from his body.

But its the gods and the other worldlyness thats the more american feel to the very BRITISH character.

NOW you may not agree with most of this but the real story there is the fact that Hermoth is somehow connected to a legacy in front of Harry.

I dont think it's bad, but it's not really good either.

It's like an overlong future shock.

The Adventurer

I very much love the Kipling. It's good, bizarre action fiction of the best sort. I also enjoy it's numerous short runs, it keeps it fresh and appearing regularly.

what-ho chaps and chap-esses...

due to the lack of spurious returns on this thread , i thought i'd pipe up and get my tuppence in...

firstly i'd like to thank folk for their constructive criticism on the recent kipling - i've done my best to understand it all and a lot of you have some serious points about the art which i have taken on board - mainly , a bit less technicolour , less over detail in the shading(i'm tryin i tell ya!) , and a bit less sketchy - altho , in my defence at the start of kipling i was getting a month to do five pages and now i get 2 weeks - so something had to give......i'm just about to get started on some new kipling , so expect some 'tweaks' here n there....with regards to the latest story arc , i'll fully admit i found myself getting a wee bit lost around the middle , but i made a concerted effort to sort things in part 4.

harry's pals are 'klux' - who is about as visually obvious as it gets , and 'neesha vek' , who is indeed green.

there is a lot going on in harry kipling as a whole , and quite a lot of this arc refers back to stuff that happened ages ago - making it a prime candidate for a re-read , so please do!

again, thankyou all for your comments , and normal service will be resumed shortly!

boo ; )

DavidXBrunt

Except...Klux isn't that obvious visually. I can't picture him at all. That may be my fault but there you go.

Bad Andy

I really like the design of Klux myself.

Neesha's green? Didn't realise that.

You down to do anymore Dredd, Boo? I thought the one you did with the hole was incredibly good.

Dark Jimbo

Aw no, now I feel really guilty for mentioning anything. I'd like to stress that I do like your art, Boo - your actual designs are still fantastic, there was just a sense in recent Kipling stories that something was getting lost along the way. I suppose it's probably something of a challenge to fit everything in a Spurrier script legiblly into the art - he's not exactly one for skimping on the ideas quotient. :-)
