I, Cosh

Well, here's the list of what I've got. I'm not sure what the going rate would be, but how about £1 each or £25 for the lot? The ones marked with an * are a bit battered about, but no pages missing or falling out or anything.http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/2016/wholistuy6.jpg">

Rentaghost was shite even when I watched it as a kid.  It held the same facination for me as the new series of Robin Hood.  I guess it's a bit like playing fruit machines - you watch all the coloured lights, determined that something good will happen, but it usually doesn't and the entire exercise was a pointless waste of time.
An angry nineties throwback who needs to get a room.

I had a strange memory that the first series was good.  I was very young.

In fact, I think I had confused early rentaghost with the ghosts of motley hall, which may be just as bad, but was something else.

As far as tea time kids programs go, I don't have soft spots for much of it.  Trap Door, Mr Men and the Clangers for animation. A few of the drama series such as Chocky, Children of the stones etc.  Most of it was shite and still is.

Oh and Six Feet Under is SOLD to the man with the X.

Which considering I was pimping stuff in the first place means placing that ad has put me in negative equity...still...sizzle ma feetsies.

my memory is probably woefully off-target, but i remember the first series being good also. i seem to remember that only mr claypole made it to series 2 and beyond, and that the first series was more scary and less-slapstick / pantomime horse nonsense

Sir, you remember wrong.

It's full blown panto from the start.  I could have sworn it wasn't myself, but there you go.

If you want you false memory syndrome cured Thinky send me your address and no money and 6 episodes of inept pain filled panto will be on their way to you. However if you end up banging nails into your head I absolve all responsibility.

Also, it's quite gay.

In the days of three channel TV, yes kids it did exist, Rent-a-ghost was the only viewing option. I hated it but watched every episode even though I hated Mr Meeker, the panto horse and of course that prick Mr Claypole. "Henceforth everytime someone says 'hello' I'll jam a large root vegetable up my arse". Although that's in quotes it may not be word for word accurate.

Oh and Molly Weir too as the MacWitch. MacShite possibly.

gay you say? sendmail is on it's way!

At least the kids will get something more than a lump of coal, a tangerine and a copy of 'Radio Fun' for XMas this year ;)

I'm always interested in target Dr Who books. Anyone who wants to sell some can mail me here.

I have a few copies of Crisis to sell, but the postage will be from sun-bronzed (bushfire singed really) Australia

Paul

apologies for not getting back to you sooner, but many thanks for the Rentaghost Series 1 DVD. Now i've had a chance to watch it with my 6yo and 3yo, i can concur that you're 100% right in that it's pretty shite.

however, both the kids loved it, especially the mr mumford's flares, strangely enough

thanks again, and merry xmas

"however, both the kids loved it"

That's more good than it ever did me.

8 discs of Tomorrow People, with 34 episodes. That's teh complete series 1 and 3, and the 2nd and 3rd discs of series 2. The first of the modern adventures of the Tee Pees is included as a Big Finish extra. And, yes, it includes the one with Peter Davison in it.
