I believe they prefer the term 'Trekker'. I liked Next Generation and to a lesser extent Voyager. Deep Space Nine, Origin Trek and Enterprise are pish.

I used to like Kirk and his cronies when I was younger- shagging and shooting their way accross the yooniverse.
I cannot fucking stand Voyager or next Generation or any of that later stuff- politically correct moralising US tripe! Maybe I'm wrong, but I got the impression in Voyager that the tattoo-faced guy, the half-klingon bird, the Borg woman and that dude Paris were supposed to be anti-hero types, but they were just as moralising as all the rest. Next Gen was simply dull. Kirk would never have put up with that crew of glorified social workers.
Just a little rough and tumble, Judge man.

Rex Banner

I've watched all episodes of all series but I wouldn't say 'it gives my life meaning'.

'I believe they prefer the term 'Trekker'.'

I've heard that somebody once corrected Gene Roddenberry on this point to which he replied that as he created the term it's Trekkie.

I'm young enough to have watched a lot of tng and ds9 when i was young.

No, you're alright there Jim, the use of "Fuck off, you cunt!" is perfectly permissible (nay, positively compulsory) on a Trekkie, sorry... Trekker (Jesus) thread. ;-)

[IT'S A JOKE, OK?] So fuck off, you cunt! [/IT'S A JOKE, OK?]

The only question that I tought was hard was do I like Kirk or do I like Picard.

I, Cosh

First Lot: amusing, but not very good sci-fi.
TNG: good dramatically after Roddenberry died and they could have ongoig storylines, but not very good sci-fi.
DS9: No idea, but the later episodes I've seen hint at something interesting going on.
Voyager: No idea.
Enterprise: Quantuum Leap was really, really shit.
We never really die.

M.I.K.

As a Kirk myself, my completely unbiased opinion is that it's all a bit crap except for the original series.

Surely the "brief period" option is linked to despising it in the present?
He's only trying to be what following how his dreams make you wanna be, man!

Keef Monkey

Was really into TNG and then phased out during DS9 so wouldn't call myself a Treggie.
