and madder than a box of frogs.

That musical episode where you find out how Kai became the last of the Brunnin-Ji (or whatever) through the medium of a Gilbert and Sullivan operetta was genius.
We never really die.

Dark Jimbo

Ugh. Hate/loath/bored by/embarassed by them all - same as Star Wars, if it was on that list - except for the original Star Trek, and that's only because it was cheesy, sexist, low-budget fun made by people with no real interest in sci-fi.

Actually I must be one of the oddest 'sci-fi fans' there is, in that I seem to loath about 98% of it. Anyone else know where I'm coming from?

I agree Jimbo, don't like or watch any of em'.  I find them all quite boring & pedestrian. Give me old 60's Twilight Zones any day.

paulvonscott

I think that's normal Dark Jimbo.

I voted for Lexx, despite knowing it wasn't US. Fireflay and Battlestar are okay, not what I'd watch SF for though.

Leigh S

Of those Ive seen Star Trek with Kirk and Lost in Space and saw the odd weirdo Lexx - not very American! - have no interest in any of the others, or in Sci-fi for Sci-fis sake.

ukdane

Ach* I actually knew Lexx had a German contingent to it. Consider the poll edited...

... although I can't actually edit it, without Zeroing all the current votes.

Ah, Farscape was brilliant.
I still mourn it's passing.

LARF

Lexx was shit.

I've voted for Battle Star Galactica New Series - brilliant!

No Space 1999? We can take the yanks and the hun on their own turf.

ukdane

Left out Buck Rogers too. I was going to include Brit stuff, but doing the list from memory was too difficult.

Dr Who, Blake's 7, Red Dwarf and so on.

In the end, I thought fuck it, it's my poll, I'll just list who I want.

:-)

I can't decide which to choose from three or four on the list. I like Farscape, Firefly, Battlestar (new), B5 for different reasons. There are also parts of the Trek-franchise that I really like, but there was also an awful lot of dross.
Cheers

Blake 7s a good one...

Dr Who is kind of a different thing. It can do Space Opera, but it doesn't HAVE to be Space Opera. It'd fit in better with a Sci-Fi-without-spaceships poll.

ThryllSeekyr

I would vote for 'Red Dwarf' if it was there.
