Only managed to catch the last ten minutes of the Celtic vs Man Utd game last night and it appears I picked the right ten minutes. Hurrah for UEFAs new rules on head to head results.

Then watched the last episode of THE CROW ROAD while drinking a lovely malt.

Then we ordered a Wii.

The night got better after that as well...

I got some sleep last night.

Much that is good:

(1).  The elephants have returned to Dublin Zoo!  Two young Indian females and a hairy baby, safely in quarantine in their shiny new house in time for the Zoo's 175th anniversary.  We have a job working on their nifty new enclosure, so I was able to illicitly sneak Tordelgirl and the Sprog in to see them.  Fuck me, but elephants are cool.  

(2).  I just realised that some of my employees are actually bloody good at their jobs.  I've spent most of this year bemoaning the loss of my two best guys (who are also good friends), and hadn't noticed for a whole year that others were more than ready to step into their shoes.  Yay!

(3).  Not unconnected to the above, I'm going on holidays for a WHOLE WEEK from this Saturday.  My first time off in 11 months, including the birth of the Sprog which earned me a massive 1 day off (to be fair he was born on a Friday night, so I did have Saturday and Sunday too), most of which was spent on the phone.  Expect tales of woe Monday week, when I return to see how certain other not-so-good employees have totally fucked everything up!

It's all good!
