Working now I've routed around NTL by using a proxy, one suggestion though - how possible would it be to use a red/black banner (a simple repeating gif as the background instead of the colour would do it, wouldn't it?) instead of the dull grey? - that'd be cooooool...

I want to try and go through a proxy, but have no idea how.
I want to use the proxy to try to stop certain websites recognising me as being in DK, instead of GB.

You'd need to find some sort of proxy in the UK you could use (do a google search for "anonymous proxy uk" should turn something up)

Then in your browser settings just set the proxy to this proxy (typically it'll be something like 213.105.224.16 port 8080 - that's the alternative proxy I used but it may be NTL specific so may not work for you)
