I can't find it now, so I'm assuming it's gone, but I did once find the original (or what claimed to be) Johnny 5 robot on ebay. It looked pretty believable, and it claimed to come with all the many sets of controls needed to work the various different bits. I think the starting price was 100 grand. One of those "If I won the lottery" kinda things.....

You damn well better be! That's a priceless treasure, possibly to be rewired, fitted with guns and used to shoot neighborhood scumbags, not be destroyed.

Finally i get a reply to an email from my seller. The email sent was prompting a reply.

The seller says that he didnt get my previous emails and didnt get my payment.Payment was by Postal Order.

Its Bullshit that he didnt get my emails. Those Emails did not bounce. They were received.

Its probably bullshit that he didnt get my payment. Not to mention that himself as the seller didnt email to ask why i hadnt sent the payment and just let it hang instead hoping i wouldnt bother chasing him up because he didnt really want to let a record go that was worth considerably more than the £i.20 that I won it for.

I even paid him a fiver for it as i felt sorry for him having to sell it so cheap.

So i will Paypal 1.20 and pay for recorded next day delivery.

No way out for the seller and he will be lucky to escape without any negative feedback.

Yeah, it does look like he may have accidentally pressed the 0 between 36 and 99 instead of the decimal when entering his bid, and he's also no longer a registered user, so maybe he quickly disappeared before having to pay. On the other hand, I had a quick look at his history out of curiosity, and he seems to have a thing for buying old antique clothes, so maybe it was intentional. He spent $75 on what appears to be one shoe.

 Really ?

I just made that comment in my post up that i made a mistake when bidding.I was just being silly.

The bidder could have retractedthat bid at any time and corrected it.

vintage Levis can get serious money but i never realised they were worth that much.

Its like the attention seeking woman selling her dirty knickers and empty condom packet on the other thread

The bids are just silly and it went up to

a 100 million but all those bids have been retracted and its gone down again to only about 25,000 !

As an aside she mentioned in her story that she would be selling off her husbands Harley Davidson bike.I sent her an email asking wether or not she was authorised or legally able to take possesion of his goods and dispose of them on Ebay as it is illegal to knowingly sell and buy and handle stolen property. But she hasnt replied to it yet.

Hmmmm, maybe the woman selling her dirty underwear and empty condom wrappers realised she had finally crossed the line?

I found this today. The auction's over, and it didn't even meet the reserve price at $600 dollars, but I still want one.

Bids were for a photo of said items, please note, not items themselves (ce n'est pas une cullotte),and the knickers were quite specifically not hers.  But I'm sure she'd throw in the cacks for free.
