Just to say I've been reading the first 2 issues of 'Lone Wolf 2010' (Dark Horse), a kinda futuristic cyberpunk re-working of the 'Lone Wolf and Cub' classic.
Anyway, despite my mis-givings I'm very much enjoying it - great art and a cool plot to go with it.
Act. w/be perfect for a reprint in the Meg.
Best new thing in ages (until LOXG 2 comes out next week or whenever).

Also picked up a 'risker' in the shape of a small press comic called 'Nether - The Age Of Maga' which looked interesting in the shop but as I look at it now may well have been a terrible mistake...

As in 'nether regions' - that should have given you the clue that it was a bunch of arse.

Other stuff I've been reading lately, erm, not a vast amount, to be honest. Well worth picking up the first coupla issues of new (ish) Com.X title, Classwar, which falls broadly into the area Warren Ellis has staked his brightly painted marquee (i.e. corrupt governments and rogue superheroes).

Mostly I are been reading older stuff - Planetary is a great read, and I'm currently working my way through a copy of the excellent Luther Arkwright, courtesy of Brian Talbot.

Oddly enuff, now i have the first 4 issues, Puncture by comx is quite good too. a bit hard to get into but it grows on me (like facial hair: slowly).

Still to read that one, and I'm looking forward to their new Japanese-ish series (whatever it may be called). Bazooka Jules wasn't terrible, for what it was, either.

Did everyone buy stuff from Brian at Blackpool!?

>oo and the filth is good too.

Yeah, must get that when I get the chance - rather deprived of nearby comic shops in Oxford (Showcase is miles away).
