Some of you old coffin dodgers out there may like to know I've just updated the 'Battle' fansite with a few pages on 'Johnny Red'.

Includes some comments from Pat Mills btw.

Jeez, I'd forgotten what a bloody great strip that was! I've also forgotten the name of Johnny's big, beardy comrade but I _do_ remember being absolutely sneckin' devastated when they killed him off ...

Surely someone must be able to track down the rights to all this stuff and reprint it in sod-off great big collections. I mean, the paper wouldn't have to be great quality or anything ...

You could knock out 250 page+ volumes at around a tenner a time - I'm _sure_ there's money to be made there ...

Cheers

Jim

Nostalgia rules.
Must dig out those old Battle's from the loft and re-read.
I'd love to see collections of all these great stories from times past.

I think he was called Yakob and he was killed parachuting into a burning building.

Ol^ Marbles

Yeh it was Yakob. I'll put a gallery of the main characters in 'JR' at some point.
Carlos Ezquerra's 'El Mestizo' next I think - the strip he gave up 'Judge Dredd' for.....
