...Have arrived from Amazon yesterday. What a lovely surprise!

Tu-plang

Picky questions: has the Dante one got that Simon Davis cover, and what stories does it have in it?

robprosser

It's the one shown here
http://www.2000adonline.com/books/coming_soon.php
I've only read a stories so far but so far there's the story from the 2001 special and the one with the Arbatov sisters which is a pastiche of The Beguiled.

IndigoPrime

You got Invasion already? I thought that was down for May. Time to update the website again, then.

Oddboy

Tharg's Future Shop could do with an update too!
(but I know you're not responsible for that IndigoPrime)

Better set your phaser to stun.

ukdane

I've received neither so far- they'll probably turn up tomorrow!
Cheers

I wasn't expecting it this soon either and it's bloody great!! With a nice little intro from Pat Mills and also a story from the 1979(?) annual.

Cthulouis

well, not so keen on that cover, but now I've got a job that isn't going to stop me buying all these.

Are the first few volumes of these collections still in print? They were released as part of a deal with one of those American lot, weren't they? DC if I remember right? Seeing as the deal fell through, are the books still available?

IndigoPrime

The books were a joint venture, and as far as I'm aware, they're all still available. Those where the first run has run out are getting new trade dress and some are getting corrections (Bad Company's art sizing) or new sizes (Button Man becoming a paperback rather than full-size hardback).

Regards that Dante cover: BAH!

Pretty much. Love pretty much all of Davis' work, but that was a rare misstep and a bloody terrible choice for the new trade. Bah, indeed.

TordelBack

Jeez louise, that's the cover of Tsar Wars Book 2?  A story with a completely distinctive skinhead look for Dante, and a range of unique Napoleo-futuro-gothic images to choose from?  It's a grand image in and of itself, but for the cover of this collection? Ouch.

Judge Merlin

Is that the story inside the channel tunnel?

Tu-plang

It was a cover from a later story, 'The Romanov Job'.  Its not a great image and has fuck-all to do with the contents of the book.

I really shouldn't be as annoyed about it as I clearly am.

This one would have been perfect to continue the Tsar Wars/Frazer Irving continuity.  Or at least represent the contents a little bit.

It is an odd cover choice. Looking through the site cover archive, 1183 would have perhaps been more appropriate, or maybe even 1204.
