Not quite, but was reading about Turok which is coming out on 360, the official mag says

"Early in the game, you do some serious damage to a young buck T-Rex, taking out one of his eyes. This T-Rex(Scarface) and his mother(Mother Scarface) pursue you throughout the game."

The mag then goes on to namecheck 2000AD and point out the similiarities, which is a nice wee bit of mini-publicity for Tharg. I'm assuming Pat Mills is totally okay with this "homage".

     who is Pat Mills? I keep reading the name a lot.      Is he some sort of editor? Does he own the copyright of 2000ad?   What is his relationship to Rebellion?

Involved in the creation of Battle, Action and 2000AD comics.  As well as strips such as Slaine, Nemesis the Warlock, Charley's War, Robusters, Martial Law, ABC Warriors.  Was highly influentiual in developing Judge Dredd in the early years.

Recent Strips include Savage, ABC Warriors, Slaine, Black Siddha, and er... Blood of Satanus.

Upcoming strips include Defoe and Greysuit.

One of the Godfathers of British comics.

On the subject of this thread, I'm not sure if Keef Monkey is taking the piss. Where have you read that another Turok game is now assimilating 2000AD material. Does sound alitte odd. More comical the way you have worded it.

I've not played any of these Dinosaur Hunter games. Are they worth while. Surely the first game should be available in the bargain bins and now there is film being made this year.

      thanks for the information.   Who would you ask say if you wanted tomake another judge dredd film for example? Would it be rebellion or do creators own their own copyright?
     
      Although he is dead now ,who owns Belardinellis work for example?  my guess would be rebellion

I take no piss. It was in a preview in the official 360 mag. For a game series that's man vs dinosaur it's always been only a small step away from "Flesh" anyway, they now seem to have taken that step. Although they could have picked a better name than "Mother Scarface". Doesn't really have the legendary ring to it of Ol' One Eye.
