I, Cosh

Bloody Zombies. Got to level 23 (out of 25) before succumbing to their relentless moaning.
We never really die.

It cant be much fun for them being dead in that case.      They only ever hang around in shopping malls so i know how they feel.

I'm not that knowledgeable on the subject but has there ever been a zombie film or strip from the point of view of a zombie, not just sympathetic but with major zombie characters, and maybe that deals with a kind of Apartheid type situation with the living as oppressors?

Smiley

Those dead bastards have been sympathetic since Frankenstein. I don't wanna hug something that'll eat my arm off given the chance. Spade practice. That's what they are.

Land Of The Dead is the closest I can think of. Over the years the director said if there was going to be a fourth film it would cast them as the underclass in some Reaganite nightmare, and the eventual film did have a teeny bit of that in it. And the prog's Dead Men Walking ended with a zombie heroine leading a revolt. But these aren't the sort of things you mean, I suppose.

I like the way in which Pat Mills subverted the evil aliens thing in Nemesis and ABC Warriors, it could make something equally interesting applied to zombies, trouble is every zombie film is called something Of The Dead so it's hard to know where to start.

Smiley

You could subvert it even further, where a bitter and twisted redneck hero believes he's the sole voice of sanity in a goody-goody society that's embraced the "life-challenged" by adopting them as pets and domestics. He doesn't like the look that one zombie gives him when it's doing the hoovering and that's when he knows they're up to something. "Did you hear that? It just said 'Brains!' - "You're imagining things, dear." etc.

It's either that or, in a world where zombies are the norm, a canister in a military depot is dropped by a clumsy zombie orderly whose arms have just dropped off, releasing a gas that brings dead flesh to horrible healthy life, all pink and pulsing. Soon the Army Of The Living are on the march, their innate ability to have bits not fall of them makes them invincible. That'd be great. It'd have US as the monsters. See?

From IMDB:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0457572/'>Timmy Robinson's best friend in the whole wide world is a six-foot tall rotting zombie named Fido. But when FIDO eats the next-door neighbor, Mom and Dad hit the roof, and Timmy has to go to the ends of the earth to keep Fido a part of the family. A boy-and-his-dog movie for grown ups, "FIDO" will rip your heart out.

Starring Billy Connolly as Fido

Saw that trailer a bit back ... I was deeply shocked that something with the dreaded Billy 'Live a lotto' Connolly actually looked really good.

Another interesting game. A target shooter with a twist. It moves everytime you aim for it.
