In Legend some of the puzzles were nicely explained by the fact that the rooms wouldn't have looked like this when they were fully functioning and in all their splendor.  What we were seeing was the 'bones' left behind when everything else had rotted away.

Richmond Clements

Mmmmm- but that doesn't explain how thw lions and gorillas and dinosaurs and giant bats get there... not to mention the first aid packs and shotgun shells...

WoD

Well...I could explain that as well, but I have to do some work right now...

Richmond Clements

Me too, but it doesn't stop me posting here, does it!?

Queen Firey-Bou

aye but it does stop you playing with lara for a moment... or are you allowed x-box at your work too ??!

WoD

Damn your logic...
Animals (regular and endangered) wander in or are chased in by hunters (which they then kill - the animals kill the hunters / explorers that is) and then that leaves the ammo and health packs that are scattered around.  Giant bats are in every cave (and behind every sofa), but they are normally just very shy and good at hiding; Lara is just lucky to see them.
There...all explained, now back to work.

Playing with Lara... you make it sound sordid!

And it's on the PS2, not the X-Box!

Y'know- that actually makes sense! Well done that man! Now back to work for a rest!

Big giant rooms full of billowing flames with a bloody handles hidden below crocodile infested lakes? Mentalists!

i always imagined that they were a series of traps to keep people from getting to the scion, or proving their worth to reach it.

ThryllSeekyr

Yes, That other 3d fighting gamed based on it's larger box cabinet arcade counterpart was 'Tekken' or I thin it was actualley 'Tekken Two'.

Got through whole game in one afternooon.

If you don't want people to get it, then just throw it in the sea or down a volcano or something. Sticking it in a room full of cunning puzzles is just ASKING for it to be retrieved!

Doggy Carrots

i'm playing it now almost completed it, i like it but there isn't enough shooting in it for my likeing, it's too "prince of persia" now, i do like all the acrobatics but it needs more action in my opinion

You might like Black Buccaneer, then. Sort of Tomb Raider/Prince of Persia like, but with a lot more action.

To be honest, I'm getting a little tired of shooting mandrils in the face with a flintlock and slicing up gorillas with a cutlas now, though. I think I prefer the acrobatics side.

Doggy Carrots

cool thanks i'll have a look at that, can't say i've heard of it before. the acrobatics are fun but they have the same moves in almost all the games that have them, though it is great for showing off :)
