just in case you're not joking Cosh, I'll mention that The Phantom is a terrific old comic, which predates Superman and Batman and which survives, mysteriously popular in Scandanavia, Australia, New Zealand and Papua New Guinea. David Bishop writes stories for it from time to time

I slept in the office/studio/guest room last night* and it dawned on me

This is the room I wanted when I was 15

except now its got all the expensive stuff I couldn't afford at the time! framed 70s Vampirella, Eerie and Creepy posters, 2000ad Nos 1 and 2, figurines, shelves of comics, Gretsch 6120,etc etc

Just noticed that johnnystress and I have a T-Rex in common.  The only plastic dinosaur I've bought in many a long year, but I couldn't physically walk past it to get out of the shop without strangling some apparently vital part of my soul.  it's just the best T-Rex ever.  With moveable jaw!

My starwars fixation wasn't revealed to my wife until I had her firmly in my grasp..and it was only in its infancy back then.
