I know some people says it crap, so what!
Love the creepy ending with this guy's eyes!

Meh. Tried to like it but very quickly got lost as to what the hell was supposed to be going on. From the looks of things so did the cast and crew.

I recommend The Bunker instead, a British film with a similar premise - a squad of Germans during the dying days of WWII trapped in an eerie bunker. Much better.

Oh yeah, I like The Bunker, that was soo creepy! I wonder why that The Keep Dvd not out as I never see the film!!!!

johnnystress

The Keep is worth a look. It 'should' be excellent, it has all the elements, Nazis, superstitious peasants, demons, Jürgen Prochnow, mental soundtrack from Tangerine Dream

but...it's not very good at all

There was a comic adaption out recently. Anyone here read it?

Saw Deathwatch in the cinema and thought it was above average for a british horror movie(at the time at least, there's been the odd cracker since), and liked the whole concept. I had thought it and "The Bunker" were one and the same and the name had been changed somewhere along the line, will need to watch that now. Also very intrigued by what I've read about "The Keep" but it doesn't ever seem to be on telly and I can't find it on dvd.

Postie may have failed me, but Nostalgia and Comics haven't!

Cabs finishes and Stone Island and ABC are finished next week.

Dredd and ABCs good (but a couple of missed oppos and clunkers in ABCs I felt), Cabs middling, Button Man not working for me, and Stone Island a good way down from there.

I read the boook 'The Keep', and found it quiet enjoyable. Great to read about arrogant Nazi's getting their comeuppance. Not your average vampire novel.

According to a recent press release, DEATHWATCH director, Michael J. Bassett, will be directing the new SOLOMON KANE movie starring ROME's James Purefoy (is that how you spell it?).
Bassett's second film, WILDERNESS, was pretty good. Thought it had a daft ending though.

Dark Jimbo

On the vaugest of related notes, did anyone watch Creep the other week?

Pleasantly surprised.

Goaty

oh yeah the Creep, was really good, first half was great but 2nd half not as when light in the Creep face.before that, it been great!

Dark Jimbo

I had thought it and "The Bunker" were one and the same and the name had been changed somewhere along the line, will need to watch that now.

Nah, The Bunker's leagues better. It's the film that Deathwatch wished it was.

I'm still surprised that the Creep wasn't played by Ewan Bremner.

Funny you should mention him as I just watched Lost Room last night and he was in it. Great at playing fucked up wee pervs.
Hmm, just pretend I wrote something witty eh?

The Keep was directed by Micheal Mann who directed Manhunter and Heat amongst others.

I have seen the Keep years ago and it was alright but not great.
