I know there are fans of The Road on this site, so they don't need to be told, but the rest of you go make time to see it. Money well spent. To warn you (well for most posters on this board it's incentive), it is more of a horror movie than a crime flick.

Extra chuffed that bits of it were filmed in my city.

I'm definitely looking forward to seeing it. I'm a big fan of the Coens, and their last couple of films weren't that great, so it'll be good to see them back on form, since everything I've heard says it's the Coens on their A-game.
You're at the precipice Tony, of an enormous crossroads.

The synopsis sounds very familer.

Yeh, it's a damn good book; look forward to the film. Believe it ain't out until January in Britain & Ireland though & doubt it'll get a cinema release in Japan.

That would break my high cholesterol heart. First Coen brothers film I ever saw was Miller's Crossing in Sasebo Japan, double billed with a Steven Segal picture about old fatso killing Jamaicans. Can't even begin to communicate the shock and awe I felt.
