Interesting. Hideous looking creatures. I noticed on the close up of the predalien's head they appear to show eye sockets bellow the transparent carapace like they did with the alien in the first film (although you couldn't really tell in the film itself.)

I'm looking forward to it though. Interesting as it looks I'm not convinced it would have the dreadlocks. The dog/ox alien only seemed to take it's mentod of locomotion- i.e.four legs- from it's host in Alien 3.... but still it's an interesting iconic look. My only reservation on the look is that full screen look of the predator and predlien, the predalien looks a bit too humanoid in it's stance.  I'm not just saying that because it comes from a predator (they're pretty humanoid after all, appart from their pretty faces), I think all the Aliens look best when you see a bit less.

I guess the dreadlocks are there just to tie up the design and make it look like a distinct hybrid. The aliens certainly look scarier when you see less, so presumably we'll be rooting for the Pred on this one. If done well this movie should be tons of fun...

According to the Ain't It Cool News site, which is I where I nicked the link from, it's a postcard view of the Predator homeworld.

Yes it's Preditor homeworld... The story pics up (mild spioler... exactly where the previous finished... begins with the chestburster on the preditor ship.

Alien grown (very quickly it seems) and attacks remaining crew... the resulting combat causes damage to ship and it crashes... facehuggers escape and a survuvng Preditor send out some sort of distress call before getting chomped by the predailen...

Cut to home worls where signal is picked up and another Preditor follows signal to Earth.
