Now that Rebellion have mastered the US style TPB & 'Essentials' formats, I'd like to see them have a crack at Marvel's hugely successful 'Omnibus' or even DC's 'Absolute' formats.

The oversize printing suits 2000AD down to the ground in that you'd get back to the near original size.

The only problem is what to do first. Going with the big-name crators makes sense commercially I suppose - how about an 'Absolute Halo Jones' ?

The plural of 'omnibus' is 'omnibi'. 'Ii' is the plural suffix for words which normally end in 'ius'.

As for your thing, I have no opinions. I'm just a pedant trying to make his way around this internet of ours. Sorry.
Nobody warned me I would be so awesome.

I'm not sure I'd like to see such things yet. The difference between Rebellion and the likes of Marvel and DC is the number of sales. Rebellion has a smaller market, and so creating multiples of a specific release isn't likely to be as successful. If it does go down that route, it would also make senseâ??at least initiallyâ??to stay away from things that are out there in a similar format anyway. Titan not long ago released two full-size Halo books, including a hardback SE, which ended up floating around for a fiver in the likes of FP. Also, I'd prefer Rebellion to concentrate on getting more stuff out there (as it has been doing), rather than reprinting the obvious stuff again and again.

No thanks.

One thing we don't need is yet another Halo Jones collection.

I think it's only worthwhile doing if you can get the original art for the old stories. And I can't see it happening, really.

A mixed colour and b/w large version of the first ABC Warriors would be nice, mainly for colour prints of the full colour centre-spreads.

If they *were* doing it, I wonder what people think of recolouring the colour spreads which appeared on the old bog-paper (from when they land on Mars IIRC).

Keep the same colour scheme I guess, just do it better. It's not like you're adding colour to what was just b/w (at least no more than they did originally)

Satanist

I know it'll never happen but just imagine Zenith done in the same fashion.

Hmm, just pretend I wrote something witty eh?

It would be a good idea but only on stuff that hasnt been printed before.I wont bother parroting about what those might be.

The only problem is the larger size would push up the cost from A4 size .I dont really see the point in reprinting everything that has already been reprinted god knows how many times already although it has to be said that some strips would look better than others depending on the detail in the artwork.

If artwork was originally B+W white then i wouldnt want it coloured or perhaps i would as colouring tecnology has improved since bogpaper days.

I dont think it will ever happen myself.Too much expense for a mass reprint but some small limited runs of each title would be nice.I would buy them thats for certain.

To clarify, I didn't mean colouring up black and white, just the centre spreads which were already coloured (but not fully painted).

There was a brief spell after prog 110ish when 2000AD went to better quality paper, and there was fully painted spreads for ABC Warriors, but then it reverted back to the old bog paper, and the colour spreads were done with old way, i.e. the original art was B/W and coloured before printing.

So colouring it would be true to how it was printed, if you see what I mean.
