Prestonpandemonium III
We're working really hard right now to try and make sure that there is a Prestonpandemonium III in 2008, hopefully as part of the Three Harbours Arts Festival, provisional date Saturday 31st May.
In the meantime if you want to buy comics at a comic mart in Scotland then get yourself along to the Hi-Ex at Inverness on 2nd and 3rd February. We'll be there.
If you want to take part in Prestonpandemonium in 2008 let us know -- we need creators, dealers and punters -- and its never too early to register an interest ! Please email Nigel with any enquiries.

Yes, the greatest comic event ever held (in a microbrewery...probably) is back.

Bring on the sarcasm - I can take it.  In fact I'm  really quite proud of Scotland's Smallest Comic event.  Not to mention the fact it brought Alan Grant and Ian Rankin together for the first time.

Prestonpandemonium III will take place on Saturday 31st May 2008 â?? 12.00â?? 3.00 p.m.  at The Prestoungrange Gothenburg (a.k.a. â??The Gothâ?), 227-229 High Street, Prestonpans, EH32 9BE

The Micro Mart in a Microbrewery has all sorts of comics for all sorts of people â?? vintage American and British comics and the latest Marvels and DCs; underground and small press comics; Civil War, the Ultimates and 52; European comics and manga; graphic novels and zines.

Several dealers and artists have already confirmed for this year â?? but we still want more!

If you want to be involved in any way: sell your collection; *send us a message of support*; run a workshop; do some signings; sell your own work; create something specially for PPIII -- as long as you donâ??t expect to be paid and donâ??t make any diva demands -- youâ??re inâ?¦

Scotlandâ??s Smallest Small Press event takes part during the annual 3 Harbours Arts Festival (www.3harbours.com) which attracts several thousand visitors.

Previous Prestonpandemonia have been featured in The List and Radio Scotland.

Admission is free.

Tables are ridiculously cheap - only £10.  Book now.

Further info www.prestonpandemonium.com

But you do make a very serious point.  If you prefer standing in a queue for hours to actually reading comics then PPIII isn't the event for you...probably.

It might be small, but it's bloody great! I'll be there, really looking forward to it.

I'm definately wanting a table and looking forward to this, even if I'll have to leave a bit early as I'm seeing Kinky Friedman in Glasgow that night.

So if you want another deek at the Mighty Huff, or indeed the greatest wee Convention in the world*, this is the one for you!

I think we're almost 100% probably most likely going to this.

We're looking at just going down there for the day I believe.

I've heard the west wing is being reopened at Huff Mansion just for the squaxx :)

I think we're just driving up for the day, it's not that far for us.

I would have to leave my hoose at about 5.30am, drive to Aberdeen and get a Megabus to Reekie, then head oot tae Prestonpans, sure I could drive all the way, but I'm too lazy- anyway a Megabus will only cost £8, which is far cheaper than petrol.
The alternative plan is to take a tent and camp at the caravan site for just £18 the day before, which would have been preferable if anyone else was knocking aboot the night before.
I just cant see me getting up so early "tae gang tae the coals in the mornin'"

If you were thinking of staying at http://www.drummohr.org/ on Friday 30th May you will be within spitting distance of the opening night party of the 3 Harbours Arts Festival (www.3harbours.com) of which Prestonpandemonium is part.

I suspect Nigel and I will be too busy pricing comics to join in the fireworks and dancing though.

It's really great to hear that so many of you are planning to travel to our wee event.

There is going to be a shuttle bus running between our venue and the National Library of Scotland on George IV Bridge.  Timings are still being finalised but keep checking the www.prestonpandemonium.com website for details.
