I've been reading this over the past while, and I just finished book 3. I've just wiki'd it, and I know the story goes on a good while longer, up to issue 27, but does anyone know if there are plans for the next collected book?

There is one more issue of Planetary still to be released - which completes the story.  I suspect that the final trade's waiting on that to hit the shelves.  Which could be whenever :)

Well, the website says the script for issue 27 has been delivered, so it should be out soon. Hopefully they'll get cracking on the book after that, Book 3 ends at issue 18, so I've a fair way to go.

The script for #27 was delivered early-mid 2007, so don't hold your breath for #27.

Is Cassady on a Marvel Exclusive contract?

I asked on the Wildstorm Message board a while back, and current estimations are for a release of #27 some time this year (October?)

Why is it always Ellis' books that are delayed?

There must be some common factor that we're missing...

It's not the first time I've read that scripts have been delivered for both Planetary #27 and Desolation Jones. Which either means the source is wrong, or Ellis isn't the common factor.

Well feck. I didn't want to read too much on that site in case it spoiled anything, so maybe it mentioned the huge delay elsewhere.

i've got book 1 of this, f'n brilliant stuff.  By the time I collect the other trades sound lake the final one might be out.
