Well if past comic to movie adaptions are anything to go by then this is gonna be great!

***watches Judge Dredd,Electra,Daredevil,Catwoman, the last Superman, most of the batman ones, Ghostrider, etc***

OH FU....
Hmm, just pretend I wrote something witty eh?

At the end of the day he is just a detective with a small mask, so I'm expecting something amazing from a visual point of view...cue the inevitable Sin City comparisons.

Not much to go on yet- just a few production shots showing cops against a green screen ..

ThryllSeekyr

I know the premice about some guy wjho fights crime from his own gravestone...

Reminds me of that scene from the first 'Lethal Weapon' film where Mel Gibsons Character gets shot in a drive by shooting falling through the plane glass window of a shop. Eventualley he gets up, shrugs off the spiinters of glass and then realises his advantage that they think he is dead. Because of a bullet proof vest.

I'm not sure of the exact details with this story though it looks like well on the way.

Buddy

Looking forward to this but not impressed by the poster - it's just tooo Sin City.

Some pics and the first posters from this are up. The pics are unprocessed, so it's hard to get a feel for it while everything is still against a screen. Jackson however looks absolutely ridiculous. I don't know how he compares to the comic book, but as it is, he just looks like a transvestite with a shotgun. The three-poster combination does look cool though.

You're at the precipice Tony, of an enormous crossroads.

He's wearing black - because the Spirit is an EDGY MOFO. Why, he's the very definition of grim and gritty!

Who was the guy who did Ocean's Eleven again? He'd make an absolutely perfect Spirit film...
Try again. Fail again. Fail better.

What's that revolving sound?

What a great excuse to show off my only piece of original art which contains The Spirit as well as Alec Trench and a small Digby. No it's not ordinary citizens at a fancy dress ball, it's really them!

I meant Sammy J, dressing like an old lady complete with runny mascara. I really hope that's some kind of new motion capture suit or something...

Steven Soderbergh - but given the current state of the film industry, we'd probably be lucky to end up with bloody Uwe Boll...

Roger Godpleton

Nah, Uwe is busy in pre-production for Rogue Trooper. Flesicher is doing the script FYI.
He's only trying to be what following how his dreams make you wanna be, man!
