Yep, I still prefer  'The Master' to 'Kung Fu' even if it might be a rip off.

Even if John Carradine is more the martial artist than Lee Van Kleef might.

He just seem way cooler in this series. Not that don't like ' Kung Fu'

Incidently, I saw John Carradine from a distance at a Convention down south  at the time Kill Bill two was in circulation around Australia. From a distance, because I just don't know how to behave properly infront of a movie star, espeically those with martial arts training. I guess you could say I was in too much awe of the guy to approach him.

I did walk up say and hi to the fellow whom was cast as 'Ghost ' in the Matrix trilogy. Very polite and funny fellow. Though I did refrain from trying to ask him alot of questions. This guy seems  easier to apparoach for me as he was less well known.

Thats just say I never I try get too close unless I have prepared myself with intelligent quiestion and other cool things to say and I have not been to any conventions since that time.

On the subject of this thread, I was watching Tthe film 'Xanadu'' and I still like it. My parents have the sound track and I have that particular ELO cd. The film, raised my spirits.

Anyway, I thought this was funny. It's one of the first songs from the 'Xanadue' Broadway Production.

I think they had  one of the nine Muses missing and atlteast two of them were male.

If you watch this one and the rest of other video from the same musical, you'll notice extra slapstick comedy dialoge written in and if read the Wiki on it. There is more of a story behind the muses and the other god like beings of Olympus on this version. When you see them dancing together in the film you wounldn't know that they are all really almost bitter rivals.

COMMANDO FORCES

I quite enjoyed watching this unfold. I wonder when Clint Langley will upload something similar!

House of Usher

This'd be the replacement Youtube Gold thread, then?

Here's the Kylie Minogue fan-made video for 'Speakerphone', then. Wit. Timing. Editing skill.

This would actually be considered the lowest rung of "Editing", totally literal and a shot change on every word or beat. Not much skill involved, no syncopation and gives one a headache after 5 seconds.

:) Yeah, but the literalism *is* the very point of it! As for skill, I'm only comparing it to the thousands of piss-poor efforts jostling for attention on the youtube. It looks skillful to me because the guy who did it has the software and knows how to use it whereas I don't.

I've seen that one up here before earlier.

It's quite clever, wish I thought of it.

The Rick Ashley one is good also.

Ohh, no! The Rick Astley one is awful. It's not clever, and it sounds like it's being sung over the phone into an answering machine. The Tears for Fears library one is much better, but it gets boring after about a minute, and I couldn't stick with it any longer than that.

And I've never liked Tears for Fears. Beautifully written though Mad World is, on balance I'd probably even prefer to listen to Rick Astley. But I genuinely like Ah-Ha.  :D

Even more Kylie Minogue. Sorry. Current infatuation. Anyway, look! There's 4 of her. That's so cool!

If we're in the business of posting pop videos then I may as well see the good doctor's Kylie and raise him the vaguely arty new Beyonce video: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=8mVEGfH4s5g

It's not that long since Beyonce told us that "The rings I'm wearin', I bought 'em"

Anyway, I prefer this version: //http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=5mqiAVdy4II

You can't see and raise one stake with another of lesser value. That was teh boringest thing I've ever seen, and quite unlistenable too!  :o
Maybe Beyonce should put a sock in it?
