I had a busy weekend of which they highlight was a trip to Scott May's Daredevil  Stunt Show which had lots of fun car crashes, fancy driving and Monster Trucks.

(Looking at the rest of the crowd, I got the feeling I'd wandered into a Scottish episode of "My Name Is Earl".  I think me and the wife were the only people above the age of 12 that didn't have multiple tattoos and piercings.  Still, Tiny Tips loved it.)

I digress...

One of the attractions is SLAINE - a monster truck painted with Slaine artwork - which did some fantastic smashing and destruction of cars - it's "Salmon Leap" (my name, not theirs) was particularly good - jumping what looked to be a good ten feet in the air before crashing down and flattening three cars.

Assuming this is all known about and permission has been given, I thought this might be a good idea for a bit of some crossover marketing.  You might be able to get Scott and his crew to distribute free issues of the Prog at the shows (or even the odd Slaine graphic novel).

The show also has a thing called THUNDERTRAX - basically an APC with a Chevy Utility welded onto the top half.  And they have a specially rigged double decker bus for two wheel driving).

It'd be quite cool to see if they could make a LANDRAIDER and some LAWMASTER motorbikes - there's obviously a TOOTH fan somewhere on the crew.

It'd give their show a bit more razzamatazz and generate a bit of publicity for comic and games.

(Or you could be really by the book and just sue them if no copyright permission has been sought).

I think the website is www.scottmaydaredevil.co.uk   - just check out the brilliant precision parking.
Be excellent to each other. And party on!

Was looking for that on You-tube.

( The above video is merely a example of monster truck shows and probably not the one you went to.)

Some of those wrecks look painful.

I wouldn't want to see that truck come down on it's head.

I wouldn't mind seeing the artwork up close.

I wonder which Slaine artist paitned the Monster truck.

Nothing wrong with it - just made me feel slightly out of place.  I get the same feeling when I go to a football match and am surrounded by thousands of people on the verge of obsession when I'm along to see a team a quite like kick the ball about a bit.

But anyway, Thargy baby, come on, send the Daredevil Stunt show guys some comics to give away.  And ask them to build me a LAWMASTER in return.
