Is Thread Zero dead?

I like the nice shiny new site, it now fills my monitor. The posting arrangements will take a bit of geting used to but, hey ho, it's a more modern site.

Quick question though - can it be that the Thread That Must Not be Quoted is gone? Will it simply become a memory, a ghost of a thing to scare whipersnappers on the forum on cold winter nights?

That, Dr X, may be the most important question of our time!

The new board started its numbering from 1 and I decided not to risk mucking up the transfer by trying to start from zero to save a thread which shouldn't have existed in the first place.

Poor old Thread Zero ... there's something about the phrasing above that makes me think that Wake should be applying for a job with Indigo Prime ...

Like most here, I spent my fair share of time in Thread Zero, feeling scared and baffled in equal measure; all the same, I'd like to propose a moment's silence in repspect for The Thread That Should Never Have Been.

Rest in Peace, fella.

I curse the memory of that accursed thread and spit in its grave.
He's only trying to be what following how his dreams make you wanna be, man!

See, there was me about to wonder what the bloody 'ell you were all talking about...but considering the last post...think I might skip that  :?

There are some things that droids were simply Not Meant to Know.

Thing is, it's not dead. Now that there's a new board, it has escaped the shackles of what was Thread Zero. Now, any thread can become thread zero. That's why sometimes, just sometimes, a reply to one thread appears on another thread. Wake might mumble about posts not being recognised in the same way, or about old posts jumping from one thread onto new subject becasue of cookies, but that's just the mutterings of someone made mad.  It's like the Grudge 2. Only without Sarah Michelle Geller falling off a roof and landing on her head.

I should add that all the problems the Web Droids are encountering with the board are all down to Thread Zero.
