Is anyone reading this Vertigo book about Vikings? I heard good things so I've just bought issue 1 off ebay. Did I err?

Bought the first four, enjoyed them (the art in particular is to my taste), but it's very much written for the inevitable trade - very slow moving, so budget restraint led me to drop it.  Certainly not a mistake to dip your toe in the water with Issue 1.  Bit of  a Bernard Cornwell vibe, rather than Kirk Douglas.

Yep I have them all so far.  Mainly I like Brian Wood, I like Vikings so maybe a bit biased.  Yeah I guess it is slow moving but there is enough interest in story/action in each issue for me to keep me interested.

I've just bought the first 6 issues as back issues.

The 1st trade is due soon colecting issues 1-8. Apparently its going to be $10 in the US, so maybe £5-£6 here. So I'd wait for the trade if you are not already buying the issues.
