I saw this for sale in the SF and Fantsasy book club leaflet that was in this month's meg. I'm not going to join a book club but my question is has anyone read these stories and is this collection worth picking up?

Dont know, but if his work on Dan Dare and Fraser of Africa is anything to go by it should be well worth buying.

Just steer well clear of David Bellamy's Robin Hood.

I've got a copy of this, and yeah; if you like his art it's great. It's a bit unusual in that it has speech balloons in the frame but also tells the story in three or four lines below the picture (think Rupert Bear stories).
It was obviously written for a young audience, but if you can get past that it's worth checking out.
An old-school, no-bullshit, boys-own action/adventure comic reminiscent of the 2000ads and Eagles and Warlords and Battles and other glorious black-and-white comics that were so, so cool in the 70's and 80's - Buy the hardback Christmas Annual!
