Al Ewing and I have created MURDERDROME! If you've an iPod touch or iPhone you will, shortly, be able to download and play with Murderdrome Ashcan - and, when they're up, you'll be able to buy the four issue series at $1.99 each (probably 95p)

And a youtube video of how it'll work: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CecFio3gIOA
(switch to hi-res and annotations, if you can)

That's rather clever! I love the pencils/inks/colours swipe.

However as a semi-technophobe you'll never wean me off proper comics. (I've got a PC and an ipod nano but that's as far as it goes - when I read about the things that can be done with the bleeding-edge of techno-kit, I feel I'm just one more over-complicated i-gadget from going Futsie!) :?

Bah, get with the program, Grandad!

Wow!  That looks fantastic!

Aaargh! Leave me alone! it's all too complicated!    Future Shock is real and it's looking more attarctive every day!

I don't want to "social network", just chat. I don't need a phone that downloads youtube, only that makes phonecalls.

It used to frustrate me that my dad couldn't work the vidoe or that my grandad wouldn't use the telephone, but I'm starting to get it - there comes a point when you just say drokk it, I can't be arsed keeping up any more!

I still dont use a mobile , dont have an Ipod, have never sent a text or any of that stuff and whats more i am not interested in any of it.I had to use someones mobile at work and i had to ask how to use it

This was cutting edge technology in 1984 when i got this for Xmas.It still works perfectly. In 1984 or early 80s it was usual to be asked "are you on the telephone ?"

 How things have changed.

Mind you those Apple mobiles are rather good and i would love to find one of those left on a train and i like the way the comic pages slide across the page on it in the video.

Don't worry Peterwolf retro style is back in fashion ! What came around once comes around again -like cholera epidemics.  :)

I don't get it. 21st Century future-tech gubbins gives me the creeps, I'm afraid.

But it does look clever and innovative and creative and enterprising, so well done P.J. and Al.

I'm mystified, though!
STRIKE !!!

Seems a bit weird to deliberately restrict your potential audience so much. Think I'll wait for the Laserdisc.

Looks interesting PJ.
Very innovative use of technology to push what you can do with digital comics.

However, as I can't afford an iPhone and probably won't get one, how else can I read this madness?  More of you and Al in combination is a good thing.

The Cold War is back in again as well !

 Bring back  FGTH.

By the end of the year, the iPhone should have sold around 20 MILLION. That's the potential audience, a restriction I can live with!

"However, as I can't afford an iPhone and probably won't get one, how else can I read this madness?"

iPod touch, or, if it goes to plan, at some point, a proper trade... but it'll be a year or two (if at all)

Murderdrome looks fantastic ! A pity there won't be a physical comic as I bought PJ's excellent 'Previously' and it was great.
Ah, yes Peterwolf the certainties of the cold war don't it make yah nostalgic for a good old bit of commie bashing ?

Still I think 'Murderdrome' sums up the current spirit of International relations what with Russia menacing Georgia and our good selves helping to  'liberate' the oil- I meant the people of Iraq and Afghanistan so they can slaughter one another.

'Murderdrome' indeed ! ;)

I remember reading an issue of 'Strikeforce Morituri', years ago.  It was set in the future and somebody was reading a comic on a portable LCD screen.  I remember thinking that it was a bit far fetched.

DOH!
