Anyone else seeing some crazy horrible colour scheme where the old background picture used to be?
Nobody warned me I would be so awesome.

I'm Dr. Rockso, the rock and roll clown. I do cocaine! My video was banned from music television, cause you could see my junk... through my jumpsuit!

so is this the new look? Its look less and less like its something to do with TGGC with every passing change.

Gavin_Leahy_Block

It looks bad from here as well.
It's much too bright for me.

On my monitor it looks fine - I'd actually say the redesign is an improvement. The massive 2000ad banner has been shrunk down which will cut down on the amount of hastily shuffling round the windows I have to do in order to hide it when I'm browsing at work.

I'd guess this is the default setting that comes with the new anti-spam security upgrade.  The boffins will have something prettier up soon.  Be at peace, oh my brothers and sisters.

It's f**kin' horrible. It's too bright, the spoiler tags don't work, and the gratuitous use of unadulterated cyan is an affront to the very concept of graphic design.

Somebody fix it, please![/b]

Cheers

I've stuck with 2000ad this long because I don't like change!

Seriously, though?  The colour scheme is my main gripe - it's very bright, yet also dull at the same time.
I reckon next month's art competition should be to redesign the look of the board.

Would someone be kind enough to e-mail me via the board's messaging facility when this eye-buggering monstrosity is fixed, because I really can't be arsed with it?

Cheers!

If the Bish-Op droid gets a chance to update Thrill Power Overload before it goes to paperback maybe he could do a new chapter on the story behind the web site.

There's got to be some story involved behind turning what was a fantastic site that allowed you to look at every cover, every story, issue, spinoff and creator involved in the history of TGGC in to a shadow of its former self. It has no soul, looks terrible and from the promise of the home page delivers very little.

No only has nearly all the content dissapeared but where have all the old regulars gone from the forum.

In the past I have advocated the splitting of the forum from the website but when I suggested it I didn't suggest it be done covertly and destroy the website at the same time.

I suspect someone's clicked a switch to update PHPBB and inadvertently hosed the board theme, which'll need reapplying. I can't for a second believe that the current look is an actual design decision.

Yeah- but in the meantime, let's all jump to conclusions about how everything's doomed and we told them so!
