I think it's fairly clear by now that TS is not a real person. If he is, may God have mercy on all our souls.
He's only trying to be what following how his dreams make you wanna be, man!

Dark Jimbo

When Slaine got sent through time to defend the Goddess in other eras, I like to think that one of these aspects ended up sat behind a keyboard in early 21st century Australia, eternally trawling the interweb for spin-off fiction and foreign language edition graphic novel reprints of the Horned God...

4121 posts? He didn't think it too many...

I enjoy the film, TV and games reviews he occasionally gives us.    Particularly the ones with the spoiler spaces before the part where he reveals how it does or (even better...) doesn't remind him of something in Slaine.

Thryllseeker, you are a prince among men.

The ones I like to call Adventures in International Mail Ordering:  the Saga Continues.....not so enthralling, though.

No complaints from me either.  These ideas coming wildly out of left field contuinue to amuse and delight me.  I still chuckle everytime I think of the CARRY ON DREDD concept.  Keep 'em coming TS.
Be excellent to each other. And party on!

From the Oxford name dictionary.
The name Gro is a scandinavian or norse name, but has relation to the celtic term gruach which according to them and a couple of other sources means "woman".

Gruach seems to be attached to the Macbeth legend as well, perhaps it is interchangeable with the name Gruoch?

Hope that helps!

Seeing as I got all those positive responces for my Slaine inpsired posting on this thread.

I would love to share with everybody my other Slaine analogy with the old television sitcom Cheers.

Mainly, I recall how after some forum discussion here earlier arrived at the conclusion that Slaine actualley is Gaelic for 'Cheers' or 'In Good Health''

I would even go so far as to say that Sam Malone would be the best choice for the man himself.

Ernie -The Coach-- Pantusso - Ukko

Diane Chambers - Naimh

"Woody" Boyd - Nuada

Carli Tortelli - Despite her obvious Roman connections, her as Nest?

Rebecca Howe - Pick any other female character that Slaine met in his time- travelling days. Perhaps Queen Bodeccia of the Iceni.

Norm Peterson -Himself 0or perhaps that Formorian Tax Collecter.

Cliff Clavin - Himself, although he could be another Ukko.

Lilith Stemin - Mebd

Frasier Crane ( My favorite anaology.) as the villain Elfric! Even though there doesn't appaer to be any connection between this character and Mebd. ( My choices are merely very shallow and not meaningfull in any other way here.) Unlike Frasier and Liltih in the series. It's also hard to forget him as a similer blue skinned mutant from X-Man three.

Which his identical matched brother....

NIles Krane from the 'Cheers' spinoff  'Frasier'' as Morholt. The demonic brother of Elfric.

Now, I reckon thats a MAD like parody begging for a two page splash in the magazine
