Anyone any idea which prog would have been in orbit immediately before Thursday 3rd. December, 1998?

I've had a butchers at Barney but, as far as I can tell, the covers during this era weren't giving the year.
Not sure if pervert or cheesecake expert.

I think it's prog 1122 looking at the copyright suff, but I have been known to be wrong. Very wrong!

Ah, cheers for that. Thought there had to be a better way of navigating the Prog covers than by doing it in blocks of fifty.

2nd. December, 1998 was a Wednesday. Would Prog 1122 have been available to buy on the preceding Saturday (i.e. 28th. November)?

I, Cosh

I doubt it. In Orbit every Monday.

Probably 1121

Trout

Nice pronunciation.

Prog rhymes with Rogue.

Tharg laughs at you.  That is all.

Heh. Yet always available in Blighty on a Saturday. That is to say, when I was buying it, at least.

Sim-1 explained in one of the annuals the whole mystery of it. Or not, as I seem to remember.

Tharg doesn't laugh, he agrees. The Mighty One confirmed in a reply to one of my very own letters that Prog does, indeed, rhyme with Rogue.

No doubt, if anyone can be arsed, a more clever person could link to that.

Did he?  Then I stand corrected- although, sadly, Tharg appears to be talking out of his rosette...

And how can you know where the exact quote is, but fail to provide a link?!?  Just cut and past the address bar.  Even my granny can do that.  And she's dead.

Maybe I'm just having one of those days, but Tharg seems to be saying that it's 'prog' like 'log'.

The Enigmatic Dr X

Did he? Shows what I know. He is talking pish anyway.

Tharg would never talk pish and anyone who would even think of suggesting that this might be the case is a bad man.  Just to clarify, talking out of your rosette is nothing like talking pish.  Nothing.

That's prog like log, kids.
