Webcams!

Hello fellow worshippers at the House of Tharg.
I have been on skype the last 48 hours (not constantly I add) and I was wondering if anyone has any info on what would be the best Webcam to get. I have one already but I'm wondering if I should get a new one (mines over 2 years old) and obviously what type. Should I go for a seperate mic as well or stick with the combined version? Should I go for one with an earpiece etc?
All help will be gratefully accepted.

i bought a bargain basement end of line one.
for my desk top, its a logitech. and it works fine.

its down to mega pixels and directional mike against age of PC really.
dont spend much, make sure its plug and play.
bells and whistles are useless.

i have never used my zoom feature. or anything else. maybe once or twice done the record a video thing.
of course if your buying for a long distance relationship, as a gift. you may reconsider that. if its for your own use. get the cheap n good.
