Can anyone remember if 2000ad's DD fought vampires (possibly in some ancient greek/roman setting). It was definitely drawn by Dave Gibbons. Or perhaps I've gone mad.  :'(

The system is convinced it exists.

Perhaps he's gone mad.

Grant me your wisdom...
The Justice department has a good re-education programme-it's called five to ten in the cubes.

O Lucky Stevie!

Sure was. It was definitely written by Gerry Finley-Day. Was the second planet that Dan visited in The Legion of Lost Worlds.

I re-read it a few months ago. Gorgeous art, but after the cavalcade of wonders of the first two stories (living space ships! A hollow world orbiting withing the photosphere of a star!) it definitely wasn't very good.

Even as a nipper Stevie thought the heart-shaped continent was pants.
"We'll send all these nasty words to Aunt Jane. Don't you think that would be fun?"

Belated edit (stop me if you've heard this one before):

Time to stop perusing the straight jackets on eBay Zarjazzer. I re-read it a few months ago.

Yes, it definitely was vampires.

It definitely was on a planet with a Roman setting that had been lying around since the cancelation of classic Trek.

It was definitely written by Gerry Finley-Day.

It definitely was the second planet that Dan's Space Fort visited in The Legion of Lost Worlds.

Gorgeous art & all, but after the cavalcade of wonders of the first two stories (Living space ships! A child's introduction to both tachyons & Einsteinian time dilation! Britain sheered from the continent shelf & set adrift across the globe! A hollow world orbiting within the photosphere of a star! The return of the Mekon!) it definitely wasn't very good.

Even as a nipper Stevie thought the heart-shaped continent to be pants.

Many thanks steven lenfant terrible -straightjackets on hold! At least it did exist and wasn't some fevered dream. Cheers! I'd still like to track it down eventually even if it was pants!  8)
