Did either one of them bands ever released a song with the lyrics start with "If I" and end with the words, "S.O.S"??

Uh... you really should be asking a different demographic, you know.

Sounds to me like you're looking for the song S.O.S by Abba (I think it was called that).

Not that I'd know anything about music that isn't alt-folk hipster indie, of course.
Nobody warned me I would be so awesome.

Batman's Superior Cousin

Nope, it was modern. It starts off with a guitar and continues on from there till the end.

It "starts with a guitar" you say?  That could be ANYTHING!  Well, anything other than Kraftwerk I guess.

Not sure I can help, but you might be asking the wrong hivemind, I'd imagine that we're not the sort of demographic that has a huge proportion of Girls Aloud fans.  Still, someone will know.

Anyone else have anything more helpful to add?

I did a trawl of the internet, but came up with nothing. None of the bands you mentioned covered S.O.S. by ABBA. I think Jimbo's probably right - we're all too old here to know what you're talking about.
STRIKE !!!

1. It's not an electric guitar, just a normal guitar.
2. It definately sounded like a girl band.
3. Lyrics started "If I" and ended with "my S.O.S."

Also, it was modern, early 2000's

Nope sorry. The "I" at the beggining of the lyrics was long and drawn out.

I'll have you know that I saw Girls Aloud in concert some years back.  They were very pretty.  I didn't notice if they sang, sorry 'performed', any songs, but they definitely had nice legs.

No chance it's the loverly Rihanna you're thinking of, Batson?

Just to clarify: I was not, for one single moment, suggesting that Rammstein might be confused with Liberty X.

I will, however, take a drag on whatever the fuck it is you're smoking.

Cheers

I heard some song being heard at my local pub last Sunday while playing Pool. There was a Birthday party on and I heard a song that sounded like the aforementioned bands, all vague recollections really!!!
