Just doing my usual amble through the web and came across this image and a flood of memories came back. Although the games at the time were pretty shit, especially the Saine one, I still got enjoyment out of them.
The Rogue Trooper game was probably the best.

We definitely need more tooth based games to come through.

SWEET!

Never had a spectrum, so missed out on these (never saw them on the C64).

Anyone got any other images?

COMMANDO FORCES

I've got a Dredd game on my phone, found it free on this internet thingy. He just scrolls along killing perps, I'll admit it does get boring after a few minutes though!

I had this on the Spectrum +2

(If you squint, it's Nemesis The Warlock)

Maybe it's rose-tinted glasses but I remember it being just difficult enough to be addicitve. Never finished it, but for those days it was ok. I bought it again recently on an emulator collection but haven't loaded it up yet...

Plenty stuff at World of Spectrum including previews of the never released Halo Jones and Judge Death games.

Wow, I never knew thre was Halo Jones game.

It's news to me.

They should give all those games a graphics upgrade, bring them up to speed for the more modren computers or consoles and re-release them in mega-games pack.

Speaking of the Slaine Martech game. They should do away with the annoying Reflex system and replace it with something eqiually innovative but easier to use.

I purchased the Slaine from Ebays year ago. But only as a souvineer.

Wow, I never knew thre was Halo Jones game.

There isn't.

The clue is that part of the sentence where I say "never released".

Yup, it was.

For my birthday this year the mighty mini- bot got me a copy of that, as well as a copy of Dredd V Death for the X-box.

Planning on getting a Wii for X-mas so I'm hoping for a copy of Rogue Trooper!

Perhaps, I shouldn't mentioned it here, but it's as good as place as any.

I started playing Evil Genius last night. A game I never completed, because I probably always chosen wrong way to go with designing base.

I've always built a corridor running the circumferance, guarding the rooms inside.

This time I did away with the outer corridor, saving space and now have a generator room running the entire length up and down bisecting the whole base.

So far, I haven't had a power failure yet, being able to instantly place another generator with all the room I made for them.

Still, I haven't yet been attacked the allied boss's. What ever they are called. They shall prove to be the true testing of my expertise in this game.

It's usealley mutliple bombings that have undone me in past games.

I'm now up to the part where I just dug out the inner sanctum room, placing that within the another strong room for the trophy collection, which is protected by a outer corridor, which is really another freezing room for body bags. I did that more for effect. Yes, I did end putting in another outer corridor, but it's only taking up one third of the area of the whole base.

This time, I have a hotel lobby, hotel reception with two elvators pods, and disco room constantly manned on and off around the clock by my team of ten valets.

It's the first time I seen all these rooms up and running without trying to juggle power.

It's pity you can't build the hotel, disco and casino --when I am allowed acess to the roulette wheel tables,-- right on top of the base, concealing it's entrance underneath.

Just like in alot of the 007 movies. Though it the concept behind this one past episode of Classic BattleStar Galactica where Apoolo and Starbuck both discover the Ovion hive underground with the other world casino built ontop. Thats what I had in mind.

My reason for mentioning this here is that how would this translate as 2000AD inspired game.

Well, it has the Siku concept art.

You know, if Mega city One was really the lair of the Evil Genius. Then the entire upper city would there just to keep surface dweller occupied and from wandering to far into undercity where is't inner sanctum of the real owner would be living or the puppet of the real genius as the actual game would have it. As the Mega city is evry citizen is suposed to unemployed living comfortably in their high rise block apartments with their chosen hobby to keep them occupied even further. Should leave the safety of their cozy confines, and discover what is below, they might cop it.

This could also be the underground tunnels and road ways of Termight Lair of Torqumada.

My favorite translation of a 2000AD villain in Evil gneius would be Slaine's Sloug Feg inside his Cave of Beasts. That room with all the paintings on the wall filled with skulls would naturally be his inner sanctuum, with army of Skull sword minions. Perhaps filling the nitch of Guards and in the event of obtaining a gaurd room, and weapons rack they would be able to arm themselves wth Dart Dragons -- Those rapid fire repeating cross bows[/b]. I can only picture the Half-dead as basic minion who would be able to carry, around equipment, furnishings, room fixtures, crates, but not to efficiently, and fight but not to efficiently. I can, imagine that tha sevre the Drune lords as a social minion like Valet. with some nasty sruprises, and a War Witch --Babd-- as warrior/social upgrade. Sending his minons arond the confines of the drune lands and the lands of the earth goddess to kidnapp more minions, discover find and steal artefacts. Imagine using the four treatures, and the other thirteen treasures of Britain. Not only having them in your lair, but using them as their power dictates.

Using the Cload Curraugh feeding on the power of Dolmans and Cromlechs to make these raids.

Being able to build extra weird stones top side, souring the land further, increasing your number of half-dead minions.

Thats all I can think of for now.

Pisses all over the PC version.

Is there a reason all these covers are in Spanish?
