Is there a reason all these covers are in Spanish?

Its the only images I can find on a Google search.

I'm quite enjoying reading Tharg in Spanish for a change though.  Even a unilinguist like me can have fun figuring it out.

World of Spectrum has some decent scans of game covers and the odd review.

I've played a lot of these old games in emulated form and they're incomprehensible in some cases - but Rogue Trooper would make a good mobile phone app.

COMMANDO FORCES

Here are a few others that I have dug out of the Cellar.

I never new they made a game for Stainless Steel Rat[/b[

I read here.....

http://www.lysator.liu.se/adventure/Mosaic_Publishing.html

.... that it must have been a text - only adventure.

Is that right.

Are there any screenies for it.

Large48

Now your hoping!!!!

It's in the loft with the rest of the collection waiting to be sorted.....

Might be able to get a shot of the packaging (try ebay?) but I don't have any of these old consoles to play the games on.

I remember playing Strontium Dog: The Killing on the speccy. Even at the time I thought it was a sack of shit.
Nemesis was wank too - though though the music on the Commodore was pretty fucking good. Here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kdzfOXkZrY0. Durrrn!  Durrrrn!  Bloinnng!  Bloinnng! Hmmm, not quite as good as I remember, in retrospect. Nice soundtrack to Nemesis as a concept, but not a shite and monotonous platform game.  Imagine the Terror Tubes on a modern, proper console.
Rogue Trooper was alright, but Slaine was a bit rubbish - a text-based adventure game with the gimmick of grabbing words off the screen with a severed hand.

The Stainless Steel Rat game is also listed on World of Spectrum and is indeed a text adventure. It isn't available to download but there is more information on it in the lower left hand corner of this page from an issue of Sinclair User...
