Now, y'see, this is the problem with letting people see when they're ignored.

It may not be about you, HdE, it truly might not be. There are times when my ignore list is as long as your arm. Why? Because I'm a bad-tempered bastard, because no-one wants to see me snapping at perfectly innocent posters for no good reason just because I can't control my temper. It's just easier to bung people on ignore when my nerves are a bit frayed, or I'm a bit stressed, or when you realize that you are never going to agree with a particular poster on just about anything.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again now: the Ignore feature is a positive thing. Use it to reduce bad temper and ill-feeling on the forum -- that's what it's for.

To be honest - and brutally so - I couldn't really care two figs if somebody actually had a problem with me. Not if it's something they weren't prepared / didn't care enough about to actually have it out in a calm and sensible fashion.

I seem to fluctuate between being ignored by 5 or 6.It goes down to 5 and then very soon whoever it is must think i have had enough of this cunt already and it goes back up to 6 again.

Something I would say, though, is that I'm so glad this board DOES have a facility to ignore other posters. I've never used it here, but there are other message boards where I sorely wish the option was there to zap problem posts.

I've varied between 0 and 3 - no idea where I am right now - and I don't mind.  I encourage people to ignore me as I'd rather have that than inadvertantly pee them off.  It's no skin of my nose after all.

How can you see what you are replying to if your screen is turned off ?

How can you respond to comments without reading them ?
