I've just been watching the film 'Dead Man's Shoes' (starring Paddy Considine and directed by Shane Meadows), somebody told me that it was based on a graphic novel but when I looked on IMDB I couldn't see any evidence - does anyone know if this is true? The film's excellent by the way
I was going to procrastinate but I think I'll leave it till tomorrow

I don't think so. But, yeah great film.

Not based on a Gn to my knowledge, but yeah - brilliant. Now if only Shane Meadows were to film Cradlegrave...

I seem to recall there was a comic adaptation of it, I've never seen it though.
Norbert Colon once bought a pair of Dead Man's Shoes from a charity shop in Viz, but that probably doesn't help...

EDIT I love Shane Meadows with a passion, I think he is Britain's greatest living filmmaker. Smalltime and A Room For Romeo Brass are my favourites.

Thanks chaps, I notice the graphic novel is described as being based on the film so I guess that answers my question!

BTW He's doing a sequel to This Is England, as a TV series. Can't wait.
That sounds really interesting.

And Dead Man's Shoes is a cracking little film.

It's a shame the proposed sequel "Dead Woman's Undercrackers" never made it past development hell though....
