House of Usher

My in-laws took in a pretty tortoiseshell and white stray and mother of two this autumn. The kittens have gone to good homes. I played a small part in its care-in-the-wild prior to its re-domestication. It won't go outside because it's afraid it won't be let back in again!

I saw her again on my Christmas visits, and she was delighted to have different company. We left there yesterday, and today she was sitting outside the door of the guest bedroom waiting for us to emerge. Awwww. Poor puddy-tat.

Does anyone here take time out to play with their Cat everyday ?

I always do because its important for them to be have some fun and be stimulated now and again.A long piece of thick string with a knot in the end does the trick here.

I just thought i would add that Sylvester is not my Cat as he officially lives next door but when next door are away or out at work which is most of the time he lives here. This is good because i get Cat company which i like and nextdoor dont have to worry about him being fed and being left out all day in the cold and that kind of thing.

He is generally a bit sniffy about other people and he doesnt really like them much but he likes me because i am like a Cat-Whisperer and have an affinity with them and its the same with Dogs as well.He is more like another person to me than a Cat.

Unfortunately either i will move and have to leave Sylvester or nextdoor will move and this will be a bit of a wrench for me TBH as i get hopelessly attached to Cats and Dogs.

Quick call the police! - Seriously, this beggars belief: 999 calls.  Listen to the audio clip - this woman clearly isn't fit to look after herself, let alone a cat.  Almost as daft as the people who rang the RSPCA emergency helpline this year to report a seagull looking sad because it was out in the rain.
