Wasnt Heat [Micheal Mann] a remake of as film called La Takedown ?

The remake of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre was as good as the original.

There is one good remake you all forgot...

Scarface

M.I.K.

You people who prefer the remake of The Fly to the original are all IDIOTS!

The original has Vincent Price, a man with an actual head of a fly, that bit at the end with the web and the fate of the cat.

The remake has  those two people out of Earth Girls Are Easy, lots of icky yuckiness and the crappest looking fly-human hybrid thing I've ever seen in my life! I actually preferred the one in the sequel.

Ergo, original better.

You'll find me in the 'Zak Snyder's was actually more enjoyable than Romero's' corner. We gonna need more corners soon

BTW Kev - can't believe I didn't mention BSG - quite simply the finest SF saga ever to grace our TV screens.

DotD remake is an enjoyable, throwaway movie but the original is a stone cold classic.

No competition.

Sorry, can't agree. The Howard Hawks original is far superior, more surreal and inventive and the first use of the word "Fuck" in a film. DePalma's is like a gaudy 80's TV film.

House of Usher

STRIKE !!!

Devons Daddy

seven samurai? think it roughly translates too.
pales to its remake, Magnifcent 7. a classic of historic cinema!!!

BSG, bloody hell, thats how you do it.

few make the list though do they, the lake house compared the the taiwanese house by the lake, Keanu reeves movie, (chick flick) actaully very good, though the orginal the  is far more powerful.
he dies in the orginal, and every woman in the cinema crys like babies, iits like watching Ghost all over again.
I AM VERY BUSY!
