A friend sent me this- any idea what it's from and who drew it?

Definitely European I'd say

Looks a lot like Ian Miller, who provided covers for Fighting Fantasy gamebooks and Warhammer stuff, but I'm not sure if it is mind.

Thanks- I assumed it was Spanish

I can't make out the signature but the surname appears to being with a "P"?

Could be " I Miller" though!

That was my first thought too, but the signature at the bottom seems to say otherwise...

Dan Kelly

Pretty certain it Phillipe Duillet from the Yraegal / Urm series...

Just googled him- I reckon that's the winner!

LARF

It is Phillipe Duillet - been loving his work for years - give that man a kit kat :-)

Peter Wolf

Just look at the detail and all the work that went into that artwork.
Worthing Bazaar - A fete worse than death

TordelBack

Arsom!  Very Moorcock's Runestaff!  I can almost hear the ornithopters taking off for a strafing run on Aigues Morts...

That was what I thought. I can probably track the page down later if needed. Ian Miller is a good call too as I've often thought there were strong parallels in their art, although Miller cites older sources of information like Durer and da Vinci.
if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!
