Hmmm - interesting choice if they can keep him reigned in. Winding-Refn is a very (how should I put this?) 'individualist' filmmaker, and his work tends to divide people. Expect him to do very much his own thing with the material...

As with other arty directors he's - imo - prone to self-indulgence. I thought Drive was fantastic, enjoyed Bronson, but his Valhalla Rising I found stylistically strong but descended into pretentious tedium after a strong start. Pretty much hated it by the time it finally finished.

Ryan Gosling or Tom Hardy would make a fine Harry Exton.
