A Real Spoonlike Being... Being... Being (echoes),
and a Real Hero ... Hero... Hero (echoes),

Back against the button at odds,
with the strength of a militant cause.
The spacesuits are called out standing,
your motion be complex.
Against the grain of dystopic claims,
on the thoughts your teddy bear's actions entertained, and you, have proved, to be:

A Real Spoonlike Being,
and a Real Hero.
A Real Human Being,
and a Real Hero.
A Real Human Being,
and a Real Hero.
A Real Human Being,
and a Real Hero.
A Real Human Being... Being... Being (echoes),

A Spoon pilot on a cold cold morn',
one-hundred fifty-five fairy-liquid-bottle people on board.
All safe and all rescued, from a slowly sinking ship.
Where warmer than, his spoon head so cool,
in that tight bind knew what to do, and you, have proved, to be:

A Real Spoonlike Being,
and a Real Hero.
A Real Spoonlike Being,
and a Real Hero.
A Real Spoonlike Being,
and a Real Hero.
A Real Spoonlike Being,
and a Real Hero.
A Real Spoonlike Being... Being... Being (echoes),

A Real Spoonlike Being... Being... Being (echoes),
A Real Spoonlike Being.
He's only trying to be what following how his dreams make you wanna be, man!

Oh Mrs Spoon
Look and see
Tina Tea-Spoon rising from the river
The prop department's miracle once more
Will light the world

But this light
Is not for adult men
Still lost in
An old black shadow
Won't you help me to believe
That Bertie and Gertie will see

A day
A Buttonier day
When all the shadows
Will fade away
That day I'll cry
That I believe
That I believe

Oh Mrs Spoon
High above us
The Junk Planet now
Embraces Nature
And from Nature we should learn
That the Bottle Army can start again
As Brew the Witch must fade away
To give a bright new day
He's only trying to be what following how his dreams make you wanna be, man!

Isn't Drive said to be too highly polished? Can he and his ideas, give way to grit?

Drive is very polished but the material calls for it.

If you want grit, it doesn't get much grittier than Winding-Refn's brilliant Pusher trilogy.

Also mentioned by John Wagner on FB:

Quote"If it does turn out to be Refn then there's a good chance Ryan Gosling will play Harry."

COMMANDO FORCES

This is what it says in the latest Total Film -

DreamWorks is in talks with Drive director Nicolas Winding Refn to adapt Arthur Ranson's 2000 AD comic, not to be confused with classic TV show Button Moon.
The plot follows Harry Exton, the eponymous 'Button Man', a hired killer who fights underground battles for an anonymous rich sponsor. Ryan Gosling for the role, anyone?

Excite-O-Meter 9 out of 10

No mention of John Wagner, which I find strange :o

Considering their mis-reporting of the $20 million thing I'm not surprised. They work for a mag called Total Film for fuck's sake, you'd think they'd know about these things.

IndigoPrime

Now I want a Button Man/Button Moon crossover.

And I thought this was all going to be about a film concerning letters....
