Fuck it. Never mind.

Sorry, posted all that before I saw you had retracted your post. No modify link now. If one of the mods wants to remove my response, then fair enough.

But not my other posts, please.

Anyone managed to find a copy yet? Smiths in Luton was still Stripless today. Just pondering whether it's worth yet another trip into town tomorrow to see if it shows up.

Edit: Just seen on their twitter feed that it's now been delayed till Friday. Uhh.

Bafflingly, Smiths have confirmed they've got the bloody thing, they just haven't put it out.

Cheers

Picked this up today. Certainly looks the part. Very much looking forward to reading it later when little Stephens is asleep! :-)

Has anyone read it yet? And more importantly,  is it any good?

Picked my copy up from Smiths this morning, it was located on the same end as 2000AD and the Megazine rather than round with the plastic toy holders, sorry I mean "children's comics", and displayed quite prominently (front and centre).

It's a good issue, a couple of the stories are reprints (the first parts Warpaint and Black Dragon) but that's understandable, no doubt we'll see reprints of the first parts of other stories from what they are calling the "test issues".  Hopefully Strip will have a more stable release schedule now as more and more people are exposed to it.

Eh?

We're buying Warpaint again?

Can I have my 'test money' back please.

ffs.
If I'd known it was harmless I would have killed it myself.

I suspect that a number of the stories from the earlier issues are going to be restarted over the coming months.  To be fair this is expected.  The early issues were only available in comic shops whilst volume 2 is aiming to capture "the man (or child) on the street" who might never go into a comic shop.  It would be unfair (and confusing) for them to be expected to buy the "first" issue and to find themselves several chapters into a load of stories.
