Screw that. I was excited about this when it first started, but they've dicked me about too much at this point. It's the talented creators involved I feel sorry for. And the children. Won't somebody think of the children!
You may quote me on that.

I suspect that a number of the stories from the earlier issues are going to be restarted over the coming months.

That's news to me. Warpaint was the only story I was aware was problematic, given that it didn't wrap or break conveniently on the relaunch. To the best of my knowledge, there is absolutely no intention to run any significant amount of reprint in coming issues.

Cheers

Oh, well that's my theory sunk  :-[.  Cheers for clearing that up

Black Dragon was reprinted - and freshly coloured - because we have an eight part series starting next issue and it was thought that a recap using this episode would be a good idea.

Black Ops Extreme, Crucible, King Cobra are all-new stories. It was decided to re-run 'Warpaint' because the numbers of people reading the news stand edition will (hopefully) by far outstrip the numbers of people who will have seen it in the Volume 1 editions, print or digital.

Richmond is right on the money as regards the reasons for re-running of Black Dragon.

The first two episodes of 'Denizens' did appear in #7.1 but again, the sales of that were very small so it made sense to start that from the beginning. As of #3, only 'Warpaint' will be 'reprint', although the aim is to include strong European material, ideally never before published in English, in the mix.

In addition to the initial line up, strips in the pipeline include: 'Dragonrir', a stunning fantasy tale by Miljenko Horvatic and Damir Zitko; a thrilling story of the criminal underworld, 'Deliverer', by Miljenko Horvatic, drawn by Bernard Kolle; 'WarWorldz' by Stephen Walsh and Giancarlo Caracuzzo; the tale of an ancient warrior battling magic, 'Thracius', by James Hudnall and Mark Vigoroux; plus the return of other strips, including 'Age of Heroes' by James Hudnall and John Ridgway and 'The Devil's Heritage' by Jerome Felix and Paul Gastine.

John since your here no harm in at least asking has Kev Hopgood's 'Lawless' slipped through the net then?

I've got no idea where I was up too with my subs? If I subbed for a year (way back when) is it still running ?

I'm pretty sure that even if you subscribed from #1.1, Print Media are dispatching copies of the relaunch issue to you and all other subscribers - that was what I was told. #7.1 was not counted toward subscriptions, it was intended as a 'Christmas gift' to make up a little for the erratic and frustrating frequency of the first volume.

Print Media knows that if they do the same thing on the news stand they will lose their slot in WH Smiths. There is little room for error.

Hi Colin - 'Lawless' is a great strip but I haven't discussed it with Ferg or Kev for absolutely ages and editorial direction is in the hands of the publisher. It would be great to see it published.

Yeah it certainly looked very interesting and the bits of Kev's work I've seen for it look fantastic. Fingers crossed we see it pop out somewhere and good luck with the relaunch. Hopefully a copy is waiting for me at my LCS when I pop in this weekend.

There was a letter included with the issue that explicitly stated this, so if you didn't receive one I can appreciate that it's frustrating, but it hasn't affected your sub.

Cheers
