I'm afraid MQ is no more. Issue 7 was the last one. A shame really as it was a cracking little title.

Chris- I did and you have just reminded me that I want to ask you a question...

To email I go!

Batman's Superior Cousin

Bolt - Shame that, I really enjoyed reading the final issue, might get ALL previous issues at a later date. Any manga related comics among the British small press scene Bolt?

The Legendary Shark - I'm BATMAN'S SUPERIOR COUSIN!!! I have a monoply on using question marks in messages/posts within topics!!! Deal with it in your own way please, mate!!!
I can't help but feel that Godpleton's avatar/icon gets more appropriate everyday... - TordelBack

Fantastic podcast.

With regard to the Zenith/Invasion! plot point discussed:
Maximan restores himself to his youthful prime in the last page in the same way Ruby Fox does in Phase III. Aging appears to be optional for the superhumans created by Peyne.
Anyone who has listened to the podcast...please PM me if the review for the Dogbreath story "Catch of the Day" was a bad one...I'm too nervous to listen. If it was good...I don't know, PM me as well...cheers!

I am listening to it now....
if I went 'round saying I was an Emperor just because some moistened bint had lobbed a scimitar at me, they'd put me away!

I took it that the train guard in the moments hesitation story hesitated because Alpha looked liked and reminded him of his own son, who is the kid in the picture - if he was recognising Alpha from some undercover activity, he woulda said something like "Hey, I know you -"

Millar reprints were squashed by Andy Diggle when the DC reprints started, though not because of politics (he was long gone by then, and I think it was more a case of he'd been let go rather than ran away, though it was probably a happy coincidence of the two).  It was more because they are lame, and he felt it wouldnt reflect well on the line - im sure he posted something to that effect on the old alt.2000 newsgroup.

Cheers for a kind mention of the case files (also cheers to David in his earlier post).  I do wonder at times if they are skippable, so its nice to see you got something from them - these weirdy special tales were a real odd set to work through from this end, let alone your end!

Hi there,
Just finished listening to ep 61-thanks for the kind review of Judge Fish guys- and thanks to David Withers, Bolt-01 et al at Zarjaz! Well spotted that man Flint, the tone was indeed done in Manga Studio, in fact it was an experiment, the whole strip was produced digitally in Manga Studio! My day job btw Flint is a 3d Animator, but my ambition is to get published in 2000ad one day!

Cheers

New review up on the Forbidden PLanet blog

http://forbiddenplanet.co.uk/blog/2011/zarjaz-is-well-not-quite-zarjaz-but-pretty-damn-good/

Coincidentally, went into FP Cardiff on Saturday and picked up Zarjaz. Yeah, I have a comp copy anyway for having a story in there but had never gone into planet before and been able to buy a book with my name in. Was pretty cool

That's awesome! I've never seen it in the London FP store. Congrats on the pod cast. Tres bien :) Thank you for the kind words regarding my artwork for Zenith/ Invasion. Drawing the strip meant a lot to me and I'm glad that my enthusiasm came out through my work and folk have enjoyed. Thank you all for your kind comments :)

By Crikey- it's all going on tonight! We've just sold out of Dogbreath 18. Huge thanks to all those who have bought copies of the comic, and a reminder that the print runs of these comics is not infinite- when they are gone, they are gone.
