They say you need to spend money to make money, well I've never made any money so by that logic I've never spent any.

Ah, his work on Necropolis - the post on page one especially was amazing. So much fantastic work. I'm not so keen on the current SD art though, sorry.

Yup - the 469 cover was the picture I was thinking of as well. Great picture.

I've just finished reading the last three trades and here's two of the pages that have stuck in my head.

Just for the sheer power and anger.

I just love Mr.Ezquerra's b&w art and this was a cracking splash page.

It's all right, that's in every contract.
That's what they call a sanity clause.
You can't fool me, there ain't no sanity clause.

The colours in Necropolis are astounding. That double-dunter of the West Wall from episode 14 which Pete Wells posted is out of this world.

Meanwhile, those two pages flipr stuck up just prove that Stront should always be black and white.
We never really die.

The man is a bona fide fucking legend, and I cannot choose!

Personally, I loved his art in "The Good Old Boys", a Preacher one shot, and also "Bob The Galactic Bum", which was fun.

Also, the whole Stainless Steel Rat saga.

And Dredd.

And Strontium Dig (except for Feral).

And "Just A Pilgrim".

And "Bloody Mary".

Awww... the guy just fuckin rocks, okay?

I really enjoy the PJ Maybe story he did, and there are some absolutely dynamite pages in the Apocalypse War, the scenes with the Stubb gun and Dredd going undercover as a Sov Judge were pretty fab.

My Avatar! Although I reckon all of "portrait of a mutant" is just legendary. In fact, I once pulled an artist after showing her that.

seconded how can you choose???  one bit that did stand out was dredd and the cadets riding back to the meg during the outbreak of judgment day just a pic of the lawmasters in the dusty haze with the headlights glaring out....nice and atmospheric...

OOh, what about Inferno? I remember thinking as I read that that Carlos' colour work had really come into its own.
